Ingredients
  

Biscuit Dough
  • 2.5 cups whole wheat flour or oat flour
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 1 apple peeled, cored, and grated
  • 0.5 cup fresh blueberries mashed
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
Marbled Glaze
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt plain, unsweetened or dog-safe icing melts
  • 1 tbsp blueberry juice for color

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and rolled oats together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg and coconut oil, then stir in grated apple and mashed blueberries.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Knead until a firm dough forms.
  5. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut into bone shapes and place on baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and hard.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. Prepare glaze by tinting half the yogurt with blueberry juice. Swirl purple and white yogurt together slightly.
  10. Dip tops of treats into glaze to create marble effect. Let set before serving.

Notes

Ensure all apples seeds are removed as they can be toxic to dogs.
