Method
- Whisk yogurt, oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices in a bowl. Add chicken and coat well. Marinate for 1 hour.
- Grate cucumber and squeeze out all excess liquid using a towel.
- Mix squeezed cucumber with yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon, and oil to make tzatziki. Refrigerate.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5-6 minutes per side until charred and cooked through.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.
- Warm pita breads in a pan with a drop of oil.
- Assemble gyros with lettuce, chicken, veggies, and a large dollop of tzatziki.
Notes
Marinate chicken for up to 24 hours for best results. Serve with fries inside the wrap for authentic style.
