Ingredients

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast tenders or breasts cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper to taste
Glaze & Topping
  • 6-8 slices bacon cooked crispy and chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic approx 3-4 cloves
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Tongs
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Method

  1. Fry the bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove, drain on paper towels, and chop into bits. Reserve 1 tbsp of grease if desired.
  2. Season chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil (or bacon grease) in the skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter and melt. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in brown sugar and cook until dissolved and bubbly, forming a glaze.
  6. Return chicken to the pan, tossing to coat heavily in the glaze.
  7. Sprinkle chopped bacon over the chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or roasted green beans.
