Ingredients

Wrap Fillings
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 0.5 cup crumbled bacon cooked crisp
  • 3 cups prepared macaroni and cheese thick and cooled slightly
  • 4 extra-large burrito-sized flour tortillas
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Seasonings & Cooking
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil for toasting

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Wooden spoon or meat chopper
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Drain, crumble, and set aside to cool.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until no pink remains.
  3. Drain the excess grease from the beef thoroughly.
  4. Warm the extra-large flour tortillas in the microwave for 20 seconds wrapped in a damp paper towel so they are pliable.
  5. Place a generous scoop of the prepared macaroni and cheese in the center of a warm tortilla. Top with a portion of the seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon.
  6. Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla in, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a secure burrito.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little butter or oil. Place the wraps seam-side down and toast for 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and toast the other side.
  8. Remove from heat, cut in half diagonally, and serve immediately.

Notes

Drain your ground beef very well to prevent the wraps from becoming soggy from the inside out. Leftover, slightly stiff mac and cheese works best for wrapping.
