Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 1 tbsp dried butterfly pea flowers or 2 tea bags
  • 1 bag jasmine green tea
  • 0.5 cup water hot (190°F)
Assembly
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk adjust to taste
  • 0.75 cup whole milk or oat milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Heat-proof glass or mug
  • Strainer
  • Tall serving glass

Method
 

  1. Boil water to approximately 190°F (88°C).
  2. Steep butterfly pea flowers and jasmine tea in the hot water for 5-7 minutes to create a strong blue concentrate.
  3. Remove tea bags/strain flowers. Stir in condensed milk while the tea is still hot until fully dissolved.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the fresh milk over the ice first.
  6. Pour the blue sweetened tea mixture over the milk and stir well to combine.

Notes

Add a squeeze of lemon to turn the tea purple before adding milk for a different color effect.
