Ingredients
  

Base Layers
  • 4 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup milk chocolate chips for drizzle
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt optional

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Boil butter and brown sugar in a saucepan for 3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour immediately over the pretzels.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes until the caramel is bubbly and golden.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, let melt for 2 minutes, and spread evenly.
  7. Drizzle with melted milk chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt.
  8. Cool completely and refrigerate for 2 hours before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Use a timer for the caramel boil to ensure the perfect set.
