Ingredients
  

  • Coconut Rum
  • 2 oz coconut rum e.g., Malibu, Bacardi Coconut
  • Liqueur
  • 1 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
  • Mixer
  • 4 oz Sprite or lemon-lime soda
  • Garnish & Ice
  • 1 wheel lime for garnish
  • ice to fill glass
  • optional salt rim for water effect

Equipment

  • Tall glass (e.g., Collins or Hurricane)
  • Jigger or measuring tool
  • Ice scoop
  • Straw (optional)

Method
 

  1. If creating a rim, prepare the rim first by running a lime wedge around the glass edge and dipping it into salt/sugar in a shallow dish.
  2. Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.
  3. Pour in 2 oz of coconut rum and 1 oz of Midori melon liqueur.
  4. Top the glass with approximately 4 oz of fresh, cold Sprite. For a dramatic gradient effect, pour slowly.
  5. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Always use a jigger for accurate measurements. The order of pouring and speed can create a stunning gradient or a perfectly blended green color. This recipe is highly adaptable.
