  • 1 lb refrigerated pizza dough or homemade
  • 6 sticks mozzarella string cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
Garlic Butter Glaze
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
Serving
  • 1 cup marinara sauce warmed

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  3. Lay pepperoni slices along the dough strips. Place a string cheese stick at one end.
  4. Wrap the dough and pepperoni spirally around the cheese stick, pinching ends to seal.
  5. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush over twists.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Brush with remaining butter and top with parmesan and parsley.
  7. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Ensure you pinch the dough ends tightly to prevent cheese from leaking out.
