Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 2 cups milk or plant-based milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice
  • 1 banana preferably ripe and frozen
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes optional

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Tall Glass

Method

  1. Gather all ingredients: milk, cocoa powder, honey, banana, vanilla extract, and ice if using.
  2. Pour the milk into the blender first to ensure smooth mixing.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract, and banana chunks into the blender.
  4. Top with ice cubes if using a fresh, unfrozen banana.
  5. Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. Pour into a tall glass, top with whipped cream and chocolate chips if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a thicker, colder smoothie, always use a frozen banana instead of ice cubes. This prevents the drink from getting watered down.
