Ingredients

Coffee Base
  • 4 oz hot water
  • 2 tbs NescafĂ© espresso instant espresso powder
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • 1 sprinkle salt
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 1-2 tbs chocolate syrup
The Rest
  • 1 cup ice
  • 0.5 cup milk of choice
  • 0.25 cup vanilla creamer or cold foam

Equipment

  • Mason jar or cocktail shaker
  • Measuring Spoons

Method

  1. In a mason jar or shaker, combine the hot water, espresso powder, vanilla extract, salt, brown sugar, and chocolate syrup.
  2. Stir or mix well until the sugar and espresso are completely dissolved into a dark syrup.
  3. Add ice to the jar, secure the lid, and shake vigorously to chill the espresso and create a slight froth.
  4. Remove the lid and pour in your milk of choice, allowing it to swirl with the espresso.
  5. Top the beverage with vanilla creamer or prepared vanilla cold foam.
  6. Stir gently if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For an extra café touch, drizzle additional chocolate syrup down the inside of the glass before adding the ice. Oat milk is highly recommended for this recipe as it enhances the 'cookie' flavor profile.
