Ingredients

Pizza Base & Topping
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8 oz) standard or seamless
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Optional Glaze
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush
  • Pizza Cutter

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Pinch all seams together and shape into a 10-12 inch circle.
  4. Brush the entire surface of the dough evenly with the melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough, going all the way to the edges.
  6. Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the sugar is bubbly and caramelized.
  7. If using glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the warm pizza.
  8. Let cool slightly, cut into 8 slices with a pizza cutter, and serve warm.
