Ingredients

Frappuccino Base
  • 1 cup ice crushed preferred
  • 0.75 cup whole milk or creamy oat milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or 1 tsp extract + vanilla pod seeds
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup or agave
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk optional, for extra creaminess
  • 0.125 tsp xanthan gum optional, prevents separation
Garnish
  • 0.25 cup whipped cream for topping

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Tall serving glass
  • Reusable straw

Method

  1. Add the whole milk, vanilla bean paste, simple syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and xanthan gum to your blender pitcher.
  2. Top the liquid ingredients with the crushed ice.
  3. Secure the blender lid. Start blending on low speed for 5 seconds to catch the ice.
  4. Increase the blender speed to high and blend for 30 to 45 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth, frosty, and no large ice chunks remain.
  5. Pour the blended frappuccino into a tall, clear glass.
  6. Top generously with a swirl of whipped cream. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For a thicker drink without watering down the flavor, try freezing half of your milk into ice cubes beforehand. The xanthan gum is the secret to getting that perfect coffee shop texture that does not separate as it melts.
