Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch plus extra for adjusting texture
  • 0.33 cup liquid dish soap thicker brands work best
Fun Add-Ins (Optional)
  • 3 drops food coloring pastel pink, blue, yellow, purple
  • 1 tbsp fine crafting glitter silver or iridescent

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Mixing Spoon
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch and liquid dish soap.
  2. Stir the mixture with a spoon until it begins to clump together, then switch to using your hands to knead the dough.
  3. Knead vigorously for 3 to 5 minutes. If it is too sticky, add a little more cornstarch. If it is too crumbly, add a squirt of dish soap.
  4. Divide the dough into sections and knead a different drop of food coloring into each section to create multiple colors.
  5. Flatten the dough, add the glitter, and fold it in, kneading until the dough is fully sparkly.
  6. Twist the different colored doughs together to create a magical, swirled galaxy or unicorn effect.
