- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, bacon bits, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Form small teaspoon-sized triangles of the mixture and freeze on a parchment-lined tray for 20 minutes.
- Crush half the bag of Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor or bag.
- Place a frozen cheese triangle between two whole Doritos to create a sandwich.
- Dredge the sandwich in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in the crushed Dorito crumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the stuffed chips for 60-90 seconds per side until golden and crispy.
- Drain on a wire rack for 2 minutes before serving while warm.
Notes
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent the chips from becoming greasy. Do not skip the freezing step for the filling.
