Ingredients

Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped, for garnish
Serving
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Pot for rice
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Method

  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and toss with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese and lemon juice until smooth.
  7. Add shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce. Warm through for 1 minute.
  8. Serve immediately over rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use fresh parmesan for the smoothest sauce melting.
