Ingredients

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 whole ripe bananas peeled
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter MUST BE XYLITOL-FREE
  • 1 cup plain yogurt unsweetened, regular or Greek

Equipment

  • Blender or Food Processor
  • Freezer-safe container or ice cube trays

Method

  1. Peel the ripe bananas and break them into chunks.
  2. Add the banana chunks, peanut butter, and plain yogurt to a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend on medium-high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe tub, silicone molds, or ice cube trays.
  5. Freeze for at least 3-4 hours, or until completely solid.
  6. Scoop or pop out of the molds and serve to your dog as a cool treat.

Notes

ALWAYS check your peanut butter ingredient label to ensure it does not contain Xylitol (birch bark extract), which is highly toxic to dogs. If your dog is lactose intolerant, substitute yogurt with plain unsweetened oat or coconut milk.
