Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 strips bacon cooked crispy
  • 2 blueberries fresh
  • 1 oz cheddar cheese cut into thin strips
  • 1 tsp butter for frying
  • 1 pinch salt

Equipment

  • Non-stick Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Knife

Method

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and straight. Transfer to paper towel to drain.
  2. Wipe skillet or use a clean non-stick pan. Melt butter over medium-low heat.
  3. Crack egg gently into the pan, keeping the yolk intact. Add 1 tsp water and cover with lid for 1-2 minutes until whites are set but yolk is still runny.
  4. Slide egg onto a plate.
  5. Tuck the two bacon strips under the top of the egg to form ears.
  6. Place two blueberries on the egg white for eyes.
  7. Arrange cheese strips on either side of the yolk to form whiskers. Serve immediately.

Notes

To help bacon stay straight, weave it onto a skewer before cooking or bake in the oven on a wire rack.
