Ingredients
  

Cereal Base
  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal or Corn Chex
Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coating & Mix-ins
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars chopped

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula
  • Large Ziploc Bag

Method
 

  1. Measure Rice Chex cereal into a very large bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Pour mixture over cereal and fold gently with a spatula until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer coated cereal to a large Ziploc bag or container with lid containing the powdered sugar.
  6. Seal and shake vigorously until cereal is coated white.
  7. Spread onto a baking sheet to cool and mix in the chopped Butterfinger pieces.
  8. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use creamy peanut butter (not natural style) for the best coating consistency.
