Method
- Pour the strawberry cake mix into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute to treat the flour. Let cool completely.
- Measure Rice Chex cereal into a very large bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Stir vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
- Pour chocolate mixture over the cereal. Gently fold with a spatula until evenly coated.
- Combine cooled cake mix, powdered sugar, and crushed freeze-dried strawberries in a large zip-top bag.
- Add the coated cereal to the bag, seal tightly, and shake until well coated in the powder.
- Spread onto a baking sheet to cool and set for 15 minutes before serving.
