Frozen Mango Strawberry Lemonade

A refreshing, two-tone frozen slushie made with layers of blended mango and strawberry. The perfect sweet and tart summer drink.

Ingredients
  

Mango Layer
  • 1.5 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 0.5 cup lemonade chilled
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes
Strawberry Layer
  • 1.5 cups frozen strawberries
  • 0.5 cup lemonade chilled
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes
Garnish
  • 2 fresh strawberries whole
  • 2 slices fresh mango

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Mason Jars or Glasses
  • Knife (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine frozen mango chunks, 1/2 cup lemonade, and 1/2 cup ice.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and thick. Pour evenly into the bottom of two mason jars.
  3. Rinse the blender pitcher quickly with water.
  4. Add frozen strawberries, remaining 1/2 cup lemonade, and remaining ice to the blender.
  5. Blend until smooth. If mixture is too thick to pour, add a splash more lemonade.
  6. Pour the strawberry mixture over the mango layer in the jars. Use a spoon to swirl slightly if desired.
  7. Garnish the rim of each glass with a fresh strawberry and a slice of mango.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For an adult version, add 1oz of vodka or rum to each layer before blending.
