Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp red food coloring liquid or gel
  • 0.5 tsp white vinegar
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Mix-ins
  • 14 Oreo cookies chopped
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in sugar vigorously for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar. Whisk until smooth and glossy.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Switch to a spatula and fold until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Fold in 3/4 of the chopped Oreos and white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Press remaining Oreos onto the top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before slicing to ensure clean cuts.

Notes

For cleaner cuts, chill the brownies in the fridge for 30 minutes after they have cooled.
