Ingredients

Dough
  • 350 g All-purpose flour approx 2 3/4 cups
  • 250 g Plain Yogurt Greek yogurt preferred
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
Garlic Butter Topping
  • 30 g Butter melted
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Parsley chopped (optional)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Air Fryer
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the yogurt and mix until a dough forms. Knead gently on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten and roll out into circles approx 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Place flatbreads in the air fryer basket (cook in batches to avoid overcrowding).
  6. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until puffed and golden brown.
  7. While cooking, mix melted butter with minced garlic and herbs.
  8. Brush hot flatbreads generously with garlic butter immediately after removing from the air fryer.

Notes

Ensure yogurt is plain and unsweetened. If dough is too sticky, add small amounts of flour.
