Ingredients
  

Dough & Fillings
  • 1 lb pizza dough room temperature
  • 0.33 cup pizza sauce plus extra for dipping
  • 1.5 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese grated
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices chopped or mini
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

  • Serrated knife or dental floss

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a 10x14 inch rectangle.
  3. Spread a very thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  5. Starting from a long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.
  6. Chill the log in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up for easier slicing.
  7. Using a serrated knife or unflavored dental floss, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices.
  8. Place slices on the prepared baking sheet, brush the tops with melted butter, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Do not use too much sauce inside the rolls or they will become soggy and difficult to cut. Serve the extra sauce warm on the side for dipping.
