Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base
  • 4 slices seeded multigrain bread thick cut
  • 10 oz roasted turkey breast sliced
  • 1 avocado ripe, sliced
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese sharp
  • 1 cup arugula fresh
  • 2 tbsp butter for toasting
Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Skillet or Griddle
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Serrated Knife
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. Toast in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
  3. Optional: Place cheese on bread while in the pan to melt slightly.
  4. Spread honey mustard sauce generously on the non-buttered side of the toast.
  5. Layer arugula, folded turkey slices, and seasoned avocado slices on the bread.
  6. Close the sandwich, slice in half diagonally, and serve immediately.

Notes

Add bacon for an extra crunch. Use gluten-free bread if necessary.
