Ingredients
  

Oil Base
  • 0.5 cup extra virgin olive oil high quality
  • 0.33 cup bamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
Seasonings
  • 1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.33 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • to taste salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Shallow serving bowl
  • Garlic press or knife
  • Cheese Grater

Method
 

  1. In a shallow wide bowl, pour in the extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Add the balsamic vinegar slowly so it settles at the bottom of the oil.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and dried Italian seasonings.
  4. Top with red pepper flakes and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
  5. Garnish with fresh chopped basil and a crack of salt and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately with warm crusty bread slices.

Notes

Use a high-quality olive oil for the best flavor profile. For an extra kick, let the herbs sit in the oil for 10 minutes before serving.
