- Wash and chop the tomatoes, cucumbers, and onion. Place them together in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate container, combine the vinegar, cracked pepper, sugar, salt, water, and olive oil.
- Whisk the marinade ingredients together thoroughly until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
- Pour the dressing over the chopped vegetables and mix well to ensure everything is coated.
- Cover the bowl and let the salad chill in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours before serving. (It gets even better if left to marinate overnight).
Notes
This salad is highly customizable. Feel free to add fresh herbs like dill or basil right before serving.
