Ingredients
  

The Cocktail
  • 1.5 oz gin London Dry or botanical
  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur Crème de Mûre or Chambord
  • 1 oz lemon juice freshly squeezed
Garnish & Rim
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubes
  • 2 tbsp black sanding sugar for rim
  • 3 blackberries fresh

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Rocks Glass
  • Jigger
  • Strainer

Method
 

  1. Prepare your glass by running a lemon wedge around the rim and dipping it into black sanding sugar to coat.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Add the gin, blackberry liqueur, and fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosty and cold.
  5. Fill your prepared glass with fresh crushed ice or ice cubes.
  6. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
  7. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a dark edible decoration if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a darker color, add a drop of blue food coloring. Swap gin for vodka for a different flavor profile.
