Ingredients

Salad Components
  • 3 heads romaine lettuce hearts washed, dried, finely chopped
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese finely shredded
  • 2 cups croutons small, bite-sized
  • 16 oz creamy Caesar dressing thick consistency

Equipment

  • 12 clear plastic appetizer cups
  • 12 empty 50ml plastic bottles with caps
  • Small funnel
  • Salad spinner

Method

  1. Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly and dry completely using a salad spinner. Chop into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. Using a small funnel, fill the empty 50ml mini bottles with the creamy Caesar dressing. Secure the caps tightly and wipe the bottles clean.
  3. Line up the clear plastic cups. Fill each cup 3/4 full with the chopped romaine lettuce.
  4. Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese evenly over the lettuce in each cup.
  5. Add a few small croutons to the top of each salad.
  6. Gently nestle one filled mini dressing bottle into the center of each salad cup.
  7. Serve with mini appetizer forks. Guests can pour their own dressing when ready to eat.

Notes

Ensure the lettuce is 100% dry before assembling. The cups (without the dressing applied) can be assembled up to 4 hours in advance and kept in the refrigerator.
