Ingredients

Crust
  • 1 cup dog biscuits crushed, or rolled oats
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil melted
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce optional
Filling
  • 12 oz low-fat cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Topping
  • 8 small bone-shaped dog treats

Equipment

  • 6-inch Springform Pan
  • Food Processor
  • Electric Mixer
  • Mixing bowls

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 6-inch springform pan with coconut oil.
  2. Pulse dog biscuits in a food processor until they form fine crumbs. Mix with melted coconut oil.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to create the crust. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add peanut butter, yogurt, and honey; mix well.
  5. Add the egg and mix on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour filling over the crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.
  8. Cool in the turned-off oven for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Remove from pan and top with bone treats before serving.

Notes

Ensure all peanut butter used is free of Xylitol/Birch Sugar.
