Ingredients

Sandwich Components
  • 4 slices white bread or brioche
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 bar milk chocolate broken into pieces
  • 0.5 cup mini marshmallows or 3 tbsp marshmallow fluff
  • 1 tbsp graham cracker crumbs optional, for crunch

Equipment

  • Skillet or Griddle
  • Spatula
  • Butter knife

Method

  1. Spread softened butter evenly on one side of all 4 slices of bread.
  2. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, on a clean surface to form the base of the sandwiches.
  3. Arrange the chocolate pieces evenly over the unbuttered side of the base slices.
  4. Top the chocolate with an even layer of mini marshmallows or marshmallow fluff. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs if using.
  5. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter-side facing up.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Carefully place the sandwiches in the pan.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom bread is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the second side is golden and the chocolate and marshmallows are completely melted.
  9. Remove from pan, let rest for 1 minute, slice diagonally, and serve warm.

Notes

Keep the heat medium-low to ensure the chocolate and marshmallows have enough time to melt before the bread burns. Using marshmallow fluff instead of whole marshmallows makes for an easier melt.
