Starburst Drip Cocktail

Ingredients
  

Garnish
  • 2 tbsp purple sanding sugar for rim
  • 1 slice orange wheel or wedge
The Drink
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur or grape schnapps (Purple Layer)
  • 2 oz strawberry vodka (Pink Layer)
  • 1 oz lemonade or sweet and sour mix (Pink Layer)
  • 2 oz orange juice pulp-free (Orange Layer)

Equipment

  • Rocks Glass
  • Bar Spoon
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Jigger

Method
 

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip into purple sanding sugar to coat.
  2. Fill the glass to the top with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the blackberry liqueur (or grape schnapps) directly into the bottom of the glass to form the purple base.
  4. In a shaker, mix the strawberry vodka and lemonade. Slowly pour this mixture over the back of a spoon onto the ice to create the middle pink layer.
  5. Rinse the spoon. Gently float the orange juice on the very top using the same spoon technique to create the final orange layer.
  6. Garnish with an orange slice and colorful straws. Serve immediately.

Notes

To make a non-alcoholic version, use grape syrup, strawberry lemonade, and orange juice.
