Ingredients

Dole Whip Base
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries ensure they are frozen solid
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 0.5 cup coconut milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness
Garnish
  • 2 whole fresh strawberries for topping

Equipment

  • High-speed blender or Food Processor
  • Spatula
  • Piping bag (optional)

Method

  1. Remove frozen strawberries and pineapple from the freezer and let sit on the counter for 3-5 minutes to slightly soften.
  2. Add the frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple, coconut milk, and sweetener (if using) into a high-powered blender or food processor.
  3. Pulse a few times to break up the large chunks of fruit into smaller icy pieces.
  4. Blend on high speed. If using a blender, use the tamper to push the fruit down into the blades continuously.
  5. Continue blending for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is thick, creamy, and smooth. Stop to scrape down sides if necessary. Do not over-blend to melting point.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag with a star tip for the classic swirl look, or scoop directly into glasses.
  7. Top with a fresh strawberry and serve immediately while frozen.

Notes

If the mixture is too soft after blending, place it in the freezer for 20 minutes to firm up before piping.
