Ingredients

Strawberry Pineapple Cooler
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries 150g
  • 0.5 cup pineapple chunks 90g
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 1 cup cold coconut water or plain water (240ml)
  • 1.5 cups ice cubes 200g
  • 2 oz white rum optional (60ml)
  • 1 slice fresh fruit for garnish
Blueberry Lemonade Variation
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling water

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Tall glasses
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Place frozen strawberries, pineapple chunks, sweetener, coconut water, and ice cubes into a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slushy. Add more ice for a thicker texture if desired.
  3. If using alcohol, pour in the white rum and pulse to combine.
  4. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with fresh strawberry or pineapple slices.
  5. For the Blueberry Lemonade version: Rinse blender, then combine blueberries, lemon juice, sugar, water, and ice. Blend until purple and frosty.

Notes

Use frozen fruit for the best slushie consistency without watering down the flavor.
