Ingredients

Drink Base
  • 2-3 tbsp strawberry syrup or homemade strawberry puree
  • 1 cup pebble ice or crushed ice
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 8-10 oz lemon-lime soda chilled (Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 2-3 tbsp half-and-half or heavy cream/coconut cream
Garnish
  • 1 dollop whipped cream
  • 1 fresh strawberry for rim

Equipment

  • Tall serving glass
  • Straw
  • Ice maker or ice tray

Method

  1. Drizzle the strawberry syrup into the bottom of a tall, clear glass, swirling slightly to coat the lower edges.
  2. Fill the glass almost to the top with pebble ice or crushed ice.
  3. Pour the vanilla syrup evenly over the ice.
  4. Slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda into the glass, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  5. Gently pour the half-and-half over the top of the soda, allowing it to slowly cascade down through the ice to create a marbled effect.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream and garnish with a fresh strawberry. Serve immediately with a wide straw and stir before drinking.

Notes

To prevent dairy from curdling, ensure your soda is ice cold before pouring. For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and dairy-free whipped cream.
