Ingredients

Salmon & Seasoning
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets skin on or off
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for searing
Garlic Butter Glaze
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 4-5 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet or Cast Iron Pan
  • Small Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Remove salmon from the fridge 15 minutes prior to cooking. Pat dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon in the pan (skin-side up first if skinless, skin-side down if skin-on).
  3. Sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 145°F). Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in honey, lemon juice, and soy sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Pour the hot garlic butter glaze over the cooked salmon fillets.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
