- Bake the bacon strips on a parchment-lined baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Lightly toast all four slices of the seeded whole wheat bread and let them cool for one minute.
- Spread the cream cheese or mayonnaise generously and evenly over one side of each toasted bread slice.
- On the bottom two slices, arrange the avocado slices in an even layer. Season with sea salt and black pepper.
- Gently fold the thinly sliced turkey and layer it over the seasoned avocado.
- Break the cooked bacon strips in half to fit the bread and lay them on top of the turkey.
- Pile a generous amount of fresh alfalfa sprouts on top of the bacon.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, spread side down. Press gently, cut in half with a serrated knife, and serve immediately.
Notes
Fold your deli meat rather than laying it flat to give the sandwich a much better, lighter texture.
