- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
- Butter the cut sides of the buns and sprinkle with garlic salt. Toast in a skillet until golden brown. Set aside.
- Heat skillet or grill to medium-high. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on one side until seared.
- Flip the patties. Immediately top each with a spoonful of pizza sauce, 2 slices of cheese, and 4 slices of pepperoni.
- Cover the pan or grill and cook for 3-4 minutes until cheese is fully melted and pepperoni is hot.
- Place patties on toasted buns, sprinkle with parmesan if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lower carb version, serve the patty on a bed of greens or in a lettuce wrap.
