Ingredients

Coffee Base
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup milk whole, oat, or almond
  • 1-2 tbsp caramel sauce thick, premium quality
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or 1 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 cup ice cubes large

Equipment

  • Espresso Machine or Coffee Maker
  • Tall Glass or Plastic Cup
  • Straw or Long Spoon

Method

  1. Brew your espresso or strong coffee and set it aside to cool slightly.
  2. Take a tall glass and drizzle the thick caramel sauce heavily down the inside walls.
  3. Add the vanilla bean paste to the bottom of the glass.
  4. Fill the glass about 3/4 full with large ice cubes.
  5. Pour the milk over the ice.
  6. Gently pour the cooled espresso over the milk to create a layered effect.
  7. Stir well before drinking to combine the caramel and vanilla with the coffee and milk.

Notes

If your caramel sauce is too stiff, warm it for 5 seconds in the microwave before drizzling it into the cup so it coats the sides beautifully.
