  • 1 packet Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid unsweetened
  • 1 packet Lemon or Orange Kool-Aid unsweetened

Equipment

  • 4 airtight containers with lids
  • Large measuring cup or pitcher
  • Spoon or whisk

Method

  1. Drain the cans of pineapple rings, reserving all of the juices in a large pitcher.
  2. Divide the pineapple rings evenly among four separate airtight containers.
  3. Add the granulated sugar to the reserved pineapple juice and stir vigorously until completely dissolved.
  4. Pour one individual packet of Kool-Aid powder into each of the four containers over the pineapples.
  5. Evenly distribute the sweetened pineapple juice among the four containers, ensuring the fruit is fully submerged.
  6. Seal the containers with lids and gently swirl to mix the Kool-Aid powder into the juice.
  7. Place containers in the refrigerator and let soak for at least 12 to 24 hours for maximum color and flavor.
  8. Remove rings from the liquid and serve chilled. Store leftovers in the soaking liquid in the fridge.

Notes

You can use fresh pineapple, but you will need to purchase separate pineapple juice or use water to create the soaking liquid. If doing an adult version, replace half the juice with vodka or rum.
